The Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) has signed as a gold sponsor of the 2013  True Blue Weekend & 9th Annual Dennis Ziadie Cup Match.  JNBS has a long history of supporting the Caribbean community in the South Florida area.

The 9th Annual True Blue Weekend will take place March 15th-17th, 2013. The 3-day event is hosted by The St. George’s College Old Boys Association of Florida, Inc. (STGCOBAFL) and The Jamaica College Old Boys Association of Florida, Inc. (JCOBAFL).

“The True Blue weekend has created a following in South Florida because of the richness of the activities throughout the entire weekend.  The event  bring together old friends and associates in a family –friendly environment that promotes the best of Jamaica… it’s people.  Jamaica National aligns itself to these values especially through the Alumni Associations that look for creative ways to give back to Jamaica and honor those individuals such as Dennis Ziadie who have left a legacy for us to follow and be proud of.” stated Janice McIntosh, Chief Representative Officer, JNBS.

The True Blue weekend is an expansion from the annual Ziadie Cup soccer match between The St. George’s College Old Boys Association of Florida, Inc. and The Jamaica College Old Boys Association of Florida, Inc.   The annual match is in memory of Dennis Ziadie, who coached both schools to Manning Cup victories. This year will mark the 26th year of the death of Dennis Ziadie in a car crash in Mexico at the 1986 World Cup.  Last year’s match drew over 1500 spectators and supporters.
